The brand of any company or entity is generally the embodiment of all things that the general marketplace sees, uses, or believes with respect to the company and/or its products and services. While the board’s governance role is not specifically involved in the application or the communication of the brand, directors are the stewards of their organization’s management teams’ capacity to execute, impact, grow and increase the value of its brand and/or brand portfolio for the benefit of the shareholders.
