Matthew K. Rose is the Executive Chairman of BNSF Railway. He also serves on the Board of Directors of AT&T Inc., Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Fluor Corporation.
Prior to being named executive chairman of BNSF, Matt served thirteen years as chief executive officer and eleven years as chairman, during which time BNSF became a Berkshire Hathaway-owned company in 2010. Matt joined Burlington Northern Railroad in 1993 and held several positions in the Merchandise Business Unit. In June 1999, Matt was made president and chief operating officer.
