Janet Carr is currently the CEO of Tandy Leather, the leader in leathercrafting supplies with 116 retail stores globally and over $80 million in annual sales. Tandy is publicly-traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol TLF.
Prior to Tandy, Janet served in senior leadership roles at a number of notable brands including SVP of Global Business development at Caleres (formerly Brown Shoe), President of the Handbag Division at Nine West Group, Chief Operating Officer at Ghurka, SVP of Strategy & Customer Engagement at Tapestry (formerly Coach) and other roles at Gap Inc. and Safeway. Early in her career, Janet was a management consultant focused on retail and consumer strategy for Booz Allen & Hamilton.
From her broad experience in brand, consumer and operating strategy, Janet brings an analytical, consumer-focused, strategic yet practical approach to her operating roles.
Janet holds a BA in Zoology and a MA in Biology from San Jose State University and an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Business.
